We took a 24 hour trip down to Florida, to be there for a friends wedding! We almost didnt go. The night before our flight out, we expected and received a massive snowstorm.
By the time we woke up at 7 am, the roads were covered, and our driveway wasn’t super passable. So we debated till 930 what we should do. Somehow we got out and made it to our flight in time.
We don’t always go on trips without our daughter Leah, its just too difficult to organize, but this was for 24 hours so we winged it. And due to Covid restrictions, we didn’t want to take her and then have her miss school due to quarantine.
Onflight I booked a hotel for that night and car rental. We went with a sports car, because we had no luggage and no kid – so adult party time lol.
Since we rushed out of the house and packed so quickly (no we didn’t plan and pack the night before and be prepared – what can I say I wasn’t a girl scout lol), I didn’t bring some of my makeup. So on the way to the wedding, I ran into an Ulta and got a couple of things.
Impressingly I was in and out within 7 min. I know! Crazy!! The wedding was really nice. We got to go to the beach for a few min that night. And it was great just spending a few min together. I’m so ready for a big vacation when things and places start to open up.
